Most lawyers come to banking and corporate work from private practice. Datin Linda came from the other side, she joined ZMM in 2008 after serving as Head of Legal Services at Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF), where she led the institution’s legal team through bond and Sukuk issuances, mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence exercises. That in-house vantage point is not something you can replicate in a law firm, and it shows in how she advises.

She leads the Conveyancing & Banking team at ZMM’s Kuala Lumpur office, bringing over three decades of legal experience to corporate transactions, property matters and banking work. She graduated from IIUM in 1993 and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1994, making her one of the most senior practitioners at the firm. Her career has been defined by a deliberate move between the institutions that shape Malaysian finance and the firm that advises them.
